Job Description
As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:
Budgeting and Forecasting: Preparing and monitoring budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and advising on financial planning.
Management Reporting: Producing monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and commentary to provide clear insights into financial performance.
Cost Control and Analysis: Monitoring departmental spending and cost centers, identifying opportunities for cost reduction, and advising on financial implications.
Financial Planning: Assisting in the development of long-term financial plans and capital projects, providing detailed analysis and financial modeling.
Year-End Reporting: Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts and assisting in the annual audit process.
Cash Flow Management: Monitoring cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs and advising on short-term investments or financing needs.
Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and systems, ensuring efficient financial operations.
Compliance and Controls: Ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements and internal policies, maintaining a robust financial control environment.
Business Partnering: Working closely with department heads, providing financial advice and supporting them in their decision-making processes.
Financial Projects: Supporting the Finance Director in ad-hoc financial projects and providing analysis for strategic initiatives.

Required Profile
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Qualifications: ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent), with proven experience in management accounting.
Experience: Strong background in financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting, ideally in a busy or complex organization.
Technical Skills: High level of proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills for analysis and reporting. Knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems is a plus.
Analytical Mindset: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
